Roki VPN (“Roki”, “we”, “us”) provides a free VPN service supported by advertising. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Roki VPN Android app.
To connect you to a VPN server and keep your session working, the app sends our backend a device identifier generated on your device (not tied to your name, phone number, or Google account), your app version and Android version, and connection details — such as your IP address, as seen by our servers — needed to assign you a server and route your traffic.
If you grant location permission, we use your device’s approximate or precise location to show more relevant ads. This is entirely optional — the VPN works fully without it, and you can decline or revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings.
When you use Selected Apps mode, the list of apps you choose to route through the VPN is handled entirely on your device. Roki does not monitor which apps you use or their contents.
We use the information above to establish and maintain your VPN connection, assign you to a working server, keep the app usable and diagnose connection problems, and — where you’ve allowed it — show more relevant ads.
Roki VPN is free and supported by ads shown by one of two advertising partners — Google AdMob or Yandex Mobile Ads — chosen automatically for your device. These partners may collect device identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID), general app usage data, and — only if you’ve granted location permission — your approximate location, to serve and measure ads. Their use of this data is governed by their own privacy policies:
The Roki VPN app itself does not inspect, log, or monitor the content of your VPN traffic — it relays encrypted RokiTLS traffic between your device and our servers.
Roki VPN uses Google AdMob and Yandex Mobile Ads (advertising) as third-party services. Your tunnel connection itself is handled entirely by our own backend servers using RokiTLS, our proprietary connection protocol — no third party is involved in relaying your traffic.
You can use Roki VPN’s core functionality — connecting, disconnecting, and choosing which apps route through the tunnel — without granting location access. You can revoke any Android permission at any time in Settings › Apps › Roki VPN › Permissions. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored locally on your device.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
